Introduction to Crystals.

Why I incorporate them in my work

I have always been intentional with the creation of my wearable art. It’s never enough for it to be solely decorative. it always mattered to me that it is also functional in one way or another. And this is why I make sure to incorporate crystals into my jewellery. Why crystals? Because we are crystalline beings and crystals are important to us.

It is not a coincidence that crystals have become quite a thing lately. We are living in a sick world – sick in body, mind and spirit, and crystals are nature’s provision for balance and health for us.

We are crystalline beings, our bones are crystalline, our blood is crystalline, therefore crystals can and do affect and infect us, whether we are aware of it or not. We can’t separate the idea of crystals from our planet, our daily lives, or even ourselves because carbon is a crystal material and we are carbon-based beings, the mineral make up of crystals are part of what makes us, you can say our DNA is a form of liquid crystals. These facts open a whole world of potential that we can benefit from if we shift the way we think.

The many changes in our lives makes us flux creatures, and nature has given crystals the ability to be stable, thank goodness! What a crystal does is to transform or transmute energy. The energy of a crystal is so strong and stable that it will require a lot of outside energy to shift its energy’s structure, and our energy is not able do that because we live in a perpetual state of fluctuation and unreliability.

When we encounter crystals, its energy can transmute or transform ours because its energy is stable. When used in healing, the crystal;s energy is focused on a specific form of energy to either amplify or transform these energies to help in the healing.

The presence of crystals on the body positively influences the human electromagnetic field, it activates the energy centres, the nervous system and stimulates the corresponding endocrine glands.

Bear in mind that crystals are transducers, they take one form of energy and transforms it into another. It’s like what plants do with the sun through photosynthesis. Crystals can take in solar and lunar energy and convert that into forms of energy that can be absorbed bio electrically into the organs and tissues of our bodies without any other technology’s aid. It does so simply by contact!

It is no coincidence that crystals have been used in jewellery for millennia!

Not all crystals behave alike though. The element of crystals determine what they are best suited for, it’s the reason why they come in all colours, forms and density. I will touch on that in another article, but start looking and appreciating your crystal jewellery differently; they are more useful to you than you are aware!
